Removal of the Anti-Ice Valve

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT AIR IS NOT SUPPLIED TO THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM FROM THE MAIN ENGINE, THE APU OR A GROUND SOURCE. HOT COMPRESSED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.

NOTE: The procedure is the same for both the anti-ice valves 17HH and 37HH.

4. Procedure
Subtask 21-61-41-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Anti-ice Valve
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (3).
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Disconnect the sense line connectors (4), (5), (14) and (18) and the pneumatic sense hose (9).
(4) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(5) Remove the nut (17), the washer (15), the screw (11) and disconnect the bonding strap (10).
(6) Remove the clamps (6) and (12) and the anti-ice valve (13).
(7) Remove the packings (2) and (7).
(8) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.

Subtask 21-61-41-020-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Anti-ice Valve
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (3).
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Disconnect the sense line connectors (4), (5), (12) and (14) and the pneumatic sense hose (16).
(4) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(5) Remove the nut (15), the washer (17), the screw (9) and disconnect the bonding strap (13).
(6) Remove the clamps (6) and (10) and the anti-ice valve (11).
(7) Remove the packings (2) and (7).
(8) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
