Installation of the Compressor Pneumatic Overheat-Sensor

MAKE SURE THAT AIR IS NOT SUPPLIED TO THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM FROM THE MAIN ENGINE, THE APU OR A GROUND SOURCE.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that:
(a) The aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(b) The access panel is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002):

A. Installation of the Compressor Pneumatic Overheat-Sensor
(1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Make sure that the removed packing (6) is in a good condition. If necessary replace the AIPC 21-52-41-29-300 PACKING (6).
(3) Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.
(4) Apply a small quantity of Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) to the screws (3).
(5) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(6) Put the packing (6) in position on the compressor pneumatic overheat-sensor (5).
(7) Put the compressor pneumatic overheat-sensor (5) in position in the pipe assembly (1) and install the washers (4) and the screws (3).
(8) Make sure that the compressor pneumatic overheat-sensor (5) is in the correct position and tighten the screws (3).
(9) Wipe clean the excess Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) from the screws (3) and safety with14QDB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.5 mm (0.020 inch) CRES Nickel Alloy - .
(10) Connect the sense line (2).
(11) TORQUE the sense line (2) connector to between 1.05 and 0.95 m.daN (92.92 and 84.07 lbf.in )

(12) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
Subtask 21-61-18-865-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Test
(1) Do the pre-conditioning through the HP ground connector or with the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 12-33-21-618-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 12-33-21-618-001).
(2) Do a leak check of the compressor pneumatic overheat-sensor sense line connection.
(4) Do the operational test of the pack temperature control system (Ref. AMM TASK 21-61-00-710-001).
5. Close-up(1) Do the pre-conditioning through the HP ground connector or with the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 12-33-21-618-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 12-33-21-618-001).
(2) Do a leak check of the compressor pneumatic overheat-sensor sense line connection.
NOTE: Leaks are not permitted.
(3) After approx. 15 minutes stop the pre-conditioning (Ref. AMM TASK 12-33-21-618-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 12-33-21-618-001). (4) Do the operational test of the pack temperature control system (Ref. AMM TASK 21-61-00-710-001).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the access panel/s (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-400-002).
