A. Installation of the Bypass Duct, Outlet
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(4) Apply a small quantity of Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) to the new:
(6) Install the new seal (12) on the temperature control module (1).
(7) Put the air duct (13) in position on the temperature control module (1).
(8) Install the locking collars (11), the washers (7) and the screws (6).
(9) Install the screws (4), the washers (5) and (9) and the nuts (10).
(10) Install the clamp (2).
(11) TORQUE the screws (6) to between 0.27 and 0.23 m.daN (23.89 and 20.35 lbf.in )

(12) TORQUE the nuts (10) to between 0.27 and 0.23 m.daN (23.89 and 20.35 lbf.in )

(13) TORQUE the clamp (2) to between 0.57 and 0.51 m.daN (50.44 and 45.13 lbf.in )

Subtask 21-58-61-865-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

(6) Install the new seal (12) on the temperature control module (1).
(7) Put the air duct (13) in position on the temperature control module (1).
(8) Install the locking collars (11), the washers (7) and the screws (6).
(9) Install the screws (4), the washers (5) and (9) and the nuts (10).
(10) Install the clamp (2).
(11) TORQUE the screws (6) to between 0.27 and 0.23 m.daN (23.89 and 20.35 lbf.in )

C. Leak Test
(b) Examine the air duct (13) for signs of air leakage.
(2) If necessary, repair the leak.
5. Close-upWARNING:
PUT ON PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND THERMAL GLOVES WHEN YOU GO NEAR AN AIR-CONDITIONING PACK WHEN IT OPERATES. THERE CAN BE LEAKAGE OF HOT AIR, WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURIES.
(1) Do the two subsequent steps at the same time. NOTE: Two persons are necessary to do these steps.
(a) Do the operational test of the conditioned service air system with bleed air (Ref. AMM TASK 21-58-00-710-002). (b) Examine the air duct (13) for signs of air leakage.
(2) If necessary, repair the leak.
Subtask 21-58-61-410-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panel 191KB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-400-002).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 21-58-61-862-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panel 191KB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-400-002).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
