Removal of the Bypass Duct, Inlet
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT AIR IS NOT SUPPLIED TO THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM FROM THE MAIN ENGINE, THE APU OR A GROUND SOURCE.
HOT COMPRESSED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE COMPONENT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY
COOL TO PREVENT BURNS.
CAUTION:
BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON OR NEAR THE AIR-CONDITIONING DUCTS. THE DUCTS ARE MADE OF THIN MATERIAL AND YOU CAN EASILY BREAK THEM.

(1) In the cockpit, on AIR COND panel 30VU:
(a) Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the OFF legend is on).
(b) Make sure that the ENG 1 BLEED and the ENG 2 BLEED pushbutton switches are released (the OFF legends are on).
(c) Make sure that the PACK 1 and the PACK 2 pushbutton switches are released (the OFF legends are on).
(d) Make sure that the HOT AIR pushbutton switch is released (the OFF legend is on).
(e) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate these pushbutton switches.
(2) At access doors 191CB and 191DB:
(a) On the LP and the HP ground connectors, put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to supply the ground air.

E. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at zone 191.
(2) Remove applicable access panel(s) 191KB and/or 192KB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002).
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at zone 191.
(2) Remove applicable access panel(s) 191KB and/or 192KB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002).

A. Removal of the Bypass Duct, Inlet
(1) Remove the clamp (16).
(2) Remove the nuts (12), the washers (11) and the screws (18).
(3) Remove the nuts (9), washers (8), bonding straps (3) and (4) and screws (2).
(4) Hold the duct (10) and remove the screws (13) and the washers (14).
(5) Remove the duct (10) from the temperature control module (1) and discard the packings (15) and (17).
(6) Remove and discard the seal (6).
(7) Remove the seal (7).
(8) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
Subtask 21-58-61-020-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the clamp (16).
(2) Remove the nuts (12), the washers (11) and the screws (18).
(3) Remove the nuts (9), washers (8), bonding straps (3) and (4) and screws (2).
(4) Hold the duct (10) and remove the screws (13) and the washers (14).
(5) Remove the duct (10) from the temperature control module (1) and discard the packings (15) and (17).
(6) Remove and discard the seal (6).
(7) Remove the seal (7).
(8) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.

(3) Remove the nuts (9), washers (8), screws (2), bonding straps (3) and (4) and heat shield (19).
(4) Hold the duct (10) and remove the screws (13) and the washers (14).
(5) Remove the duct (10) from the temperature control module (1).
(6) Remove and discard the seals (6), (7), (15) and (17).
(7) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
