Installation of the CSAS Isolation Valve
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT AIR IS NOT SUPPLIED TO THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM FROM THE MAIN ENGINE, THE APU OR A GROUND SOURCE.
HOT COMPRESSED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.

Subtask 21-58-51-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(3) In the cockpit, on AIR COND panel 30VU, make sure that:
(5) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at zone 191.
(6) Make sure that access panel 191BB is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002).
Subtask 21-58-51-865-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(3) In the cockpit, on AIR COND panel 30VU, make sure that:
- The APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the OFF legend is on).
- The ENG 1 BLEED and the ENG 2 BLEED pushbutton switches are released (the OFF legends are on).
- The WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to operate these pushbutton switches.
(5) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at zone 191.
(6) Make sure that access panel 191BB is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002).
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

Subtask 21-58-51-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Isolation Valve
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(4) Push the ozone converter (2) to the left to get sufficient space to install the isolation valve (6).
(5) Put a new AIPC 21-58-03-01-360 SEAL (13) or AIPC 21-58-83-01-060 SEAL (13) in position on the flange of the duct (14).
(6) Put the isolation valve (6) in position on the duct (14).
(a) Make sure that the anti-rotation pin at the duct (14) does not damage the surface of the isolation valve (6).
(b) Carefully align the anti-rotation pin at the duct (14) with the mating hole at the isolation valve (6).
(7) Install the isolation valve (6) on the duct (14) with the clamp (12).
(8) TORQUE the clamp (12) to between 0.5 and 0.4 m.daN (44.25 and 35.40 lbf.in )

(9) Put a new AIPC 21-58-03-01-360 SEAL (4) or AIPC 21-58-83-01-060 SEAL (4) in position on the flange of the ozone converter (2).
(10) Install the isolation valve (6) on the ozone converter (2) with the clamp (5).
(11) TORQUE the clamp (5) to between 0.5 and 0.4 m.daN (44.25 and 35.40 lbf.in )

(12) TORQUE the clamps (1) and (3) of the ozone converter (2) to between 0.308 and 0.252 m.daN (27.26 and 22.30 lbf.in )
.
(13) Install the screw (8), the washers (9), the bonding strap (10) and the nut (11) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(14) Connection of the Electrical Connector
(b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(c) Connect the electrical connector (7) to the isolation valve (6).
Subtask 21-58-51-865-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

. (9) Put a new AIPC 21-58-03-01-360 SEAL (4) or AIPC 21-58-83-01-060 SEAL (4) in position on the flange of the ozone converter (2).
(10) Install the isolation valve (6) on the ozone converter (2) with the clamp (5).
(11) TORQUE the clamp (5) to between 0.5 and 0.4 m.daN (44.25 and 35.40 lbf.in )
. (12) TORQUE the clamps (1) and (3) of the ozone converter (2) to between 0.308 and 0.252 m.daN (27.26 and 22.30 lbf.in )

(14) Connection of the Electrical Connector
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE BONDING STRAP(S) IS(ARE) CONNECTED BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR(S).
(a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.(b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(c) Connect the electrical connector (7) to the isolation valve (6).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Leak Test
(b) Examine the joints of the isolation valve (4) for signs of air leakage.
(2) If necessary, repair the leaks.
5. Close-upWARNING:
PUT ON PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND THERMAL GLOVES WHEN YOU GO NEAR AN AIR-CONDITIONING PACK WHEN IT OPERATES. THERE CAN BE LEAKAGE OF HOT AIR, WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURIES.
(1) Do the two subsequent steps at the same time. NOTE: Two persons are necessary to do these steps.
(a) Do the operational test of the conditioned service air system with bleed air (Ref. AMM TASK 21-58-00-710-002). (b) Examine the joints of the isolation valve (4) for signs of air leakage.
(2) If necessary, repair the leaks.
Subtask 21-58-51-410-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panel 191BB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-400-002).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 21-58-51-862-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panel 191BB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-400-002).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
