4. Procedure
Subtask 21-55-52-420-050-A
A. Installation of the Air Inlet Ducts
   (1) Do a visual inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (4) If you install the new upper air-inlet duct (21):
     (a) Hold the upper air-inlet duct (21) in position between the bracket supports (19).
     (b) Make temporary marks on the upper air-inlet duct (21) to drill the holes. This will help you to attach the upper air-inlet duct (21) with the bracket supports (19) in the same position.
     (c) To drill the holes in the upper air-inlet duct (21), send it to the workshop:
1 Drill holes of diameter 4.860 mm (0.191 in.) to 4.910 mm (0.193 in.) on the temporary marks of the upper air-inlet duct (21).
     (d) Remove all dust and loose particles from the upper air-inlet duct (21).
     (e) Clean the holes of the upper air-inlet duct (21) with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) .
   (5) If necessary, remove the remaining adhesive from the collar (31) and the upper air-inlet duct (21) with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
   (6) Clean the mating surfaces of the collar (31) and the upper air-inlet duct (21) with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) .
   (7) Apply a layer of Epoxy Adhesive-General Up to 60°C - (Material No.05EAR1) on the mating surfaces of the collar (31) and the upper air-inlet duct (21).
   (8) Carefully install the collar (31) on the upper air-inlet duct (21).
   (9) Obey the manufacturer's instructions and the correct curing time for the adhesive.
   (10) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) on the mating surfaces of the bracket supports (19).
   (11) Hold the upper air-inlet duct (21) in position between the bracket supports (19).
   (12) Install the bolts (22) and the nuts (20), but do not tighten the nuts (20) at this time.
   (13) Put the gasket (16) in position and install the washers (17) and the screws (18) on the flange.
