C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at the access panel 191AB.
(2) Remove the access panel 191AB and 191BB.
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at the access panel 191AB.
(2) Remove the access panel 191AB and 191BB.
Subtask 21-55-52-020-050-A
A. Removal of the Emergency Ram Air Inlet
(1) Remove the Emergency Ram Air Inlet Actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 21-55-51-000-001).
(2) Remove the screw (3) and the nut (1).
(3) Remove the bonding strap (2).
(4) Remove the screws (7) and (8) and the washers (6).
(5) Remove the inlet panels (9) and (5).
(6) Remove the washer shims (4).
(7) Remove and discard the cotter-pins (10).
(8) Remove the bolts (13), the nuts (11), the washers (12) and the washers (14).
(9) Remove the emergency ram air inlet (15).
Subtask 21-55-52-020-051-A (1) Remove the Emergency Ram Air Inlet Actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 21-55-51-000-001).
(2) Remove the screw (3) and the nut (1).
(3) Remove the bonding strap (2).
(4) Remove the screws (7) and (8) and the washers (6).
(5) Remove the inlet panels (9) and (5).
(6) Remove the washer shims (4).
(7) Remove and discard the cotter-pins (10).
(8) Remove the bolts (13), the nuts (11), the washers (12) and the washers (14).
(9) Remove the emergency ram air inlet (15).
B. Removal of the Air Inlet Ducts
(2) Remove the pin (26) and the washers (27).
(3) Hold the link (25) and remove the pin (23) and the washers (27).
(4) Loosen the bolts (22) and the nuts (20) from the upper air-inlet duct (21) and the lower air-inlet duct (28).
(5) Do not remove the bolts (22) and the nuts (20) from the bracket supports (19) at this time.
(6) Remove the bolts (30) and the nuts (20) from the upper air-inlet duct (21), the shutter (29) and the lower air-inlet duct (28).
(7) Remove the lower air-inlet duct (28) and the shutter (29) from the upper air-inlet duct (21).
(8) Remove the nuts (20) and the bolts (22) from the bracket supports (19).
(9) Remove the upper air-inlet duct (21) from the bracket supports (19).
(10) Remove the bolts (18) and the washers (17).
(11) Remove the gasket (16).
(12) Remove the collar (31) from the upper air-inlet duct (21).
(13) Remove the adhesive from the area between the collar (31) and the upper air-inlet duct (21) with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
(1) Remove and discard the cotter pins (24). (2) Remove the pin (26) and the washers (27).
(3) Hold the link (25) and remove the pin (23) and the washers (27).
(4) Loosen the bolts (22) and the nuts (20) from the upper air-inlet duct (21) and the lower air-inlet duct (28).
(5) Do not remove the bolts (22) and the nuts (20) from the bracket supports (19) at this time.
(6) Remove the bolts (30) and the nuts (20) from the upper air-inlet duct (21), the shutter (29) and the lower air-inlet duct (28).
(7) Remove the lower air-inlet duct (28) and the shutter (29) from the upper air-inlet duct (21).
(8) Remove the nuts (20) and the bolts (22) from the bracket supports (19).
(9) Remove the upper air-inlet duct (21) from the bracket supports (19).
(10) Remove the bolts (18) and the washers (17).
(11) Remove the gasket (16).
(12) Remove the collar (31) from the upper air-inlet duct (21).
(13) Remove the adhesive from the area between the collar (31) and the upper air-inlet duct (21) with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
