A. Get Access
NOTE: To do a complete visual inspection of the sense lines they must be removed from the aircraft (refer to para. 4A. (2)).
You can do a partial visual inspection of the sense lines when they are installed in the aircraft (refer to para. 4A.(1)).
   (1) Remove the anti-ice valve sense-lines as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 21-61-41-000-002).
4. Procedure
Subtask 21-52-00-210-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Visual Inspection of the Anti-Ice Valve Sense-Lines
   (1) With the sense lines installed in the aircraft:
     (a) Remove the connecting clamps.
     (b) Do a check of the sense lines for:
  • Distortion
  • Cracks
  • Dents
  • Kinks
  • Other damage which can have an effect on the cross-sectional area of the sense lines
  • Damage to the painted coating and/or corrosion protection
  • Corrosion.
     (c) If you find any damage, then you must replace the related sense line(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 21-61-41-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 21-61-41-400-002).
     (d) Install the connecting clamps.
   (2) With the sense lines removed from the aircraft:
     (a) Do a check of the nuts and ferrules at the ends of the sense lines for:
  • Damage to the ferrules or to the threads of the nuts.
  • Other damage to the nuts or ferrules, e.g. rounded flats on the nuts, indentations or scratches on the ferrules etc.
     (b) Do a check of the sense lines for:
  • Distortion
  • Cracks
  • Dents
  • Kinks
  • Other damage which can have an effect on the cross-sectional area of the sense lines
  • Damage to the painted coating and/or corrosion protection
  • Corrosion.
     (c) If you find any damage, then you must replace the related sense line(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 21-61-41-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 21-61-41-400-002).

   (1) Install the anti-ice valve sense-lines as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 21-61-41-400-002) .
