A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at the FWD cargo door 825.
(2) Make sure that the FWD cargo access door 825 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that the access panels 131NW 131PW are removed.
Subtask 21-43-53-865-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at the FWD cargo door 825.
(2) Make sure that the FWD cargo access door 825 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that the access panels 131NW 131PW are removed.
C. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

Subtask 21-43-53-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the FWD Cargo Compartment Trim Air Valve
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Put the trim air valve (9) (with the actuator in the 12 o'clock position) in position between the trim air duct (3) and the venturi (1). Make sure that the arrow on the body points in the direction of the airflow.
(4) Install the new O-ring (2) and (8):
(a) For new O-ring (2):
(6) TORQUE the V-clamps (7) and (12) to between 0.605 and 0.495 m.daN (53.54 and 43.81 lbf.in ).
(7) Install the bonding strap (6) on the trim air valve (9) with the bolt (5), the washer (10) and the nut (11).
(8) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(9) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(10) Connect the electrical connector (4) to the trim air valve (9).
(11) Remove the locking pin and put it in the stowage hole in the valve body. Make sure that the chain does not stop movement of manual override the lever.
5. Close-up(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Put the trim air valve (9) (with the actuator in the 12 o'clock position) in position between the trim air duct (3) and the venturi (1). Make sure that the arrow on the body points in the direction of the airflow.
(4) Install the new O-ring (2) and (8):
(a) For new O-ring (2):
- AIPC 21-43-02-40-020 O-RING (2)
- or AIPC 21-63-03-07-230 PACKING (2).
- or AIPC 21-63-83-01-490 SEAL (2).
- AIPC 21-43-02-40-020 PACKING (8)
- or AIPC 21-43-02-02-050 ORING (8)
- or AIPC 21-43-82-02-050 SEAL (8)
- or AIPC 21-43-82-40-020 SEAL (8).
(6) TORQUE the V-clamps (7) and (12) to between 0.605 and 0.495 m.daN (53.54 and 43.81 lbf.in )
. (7) Install the bonding strap (6) on the trim air valve (9) with the bolt (5), the washer (10) and the nut (11).
(8) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(9) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(10) Connect the electrical connector (4) to the trim air valve (9).
(11) Remove the locking pin and put it in the stowage hole in the valve body. Make sure that the chain does not stop movement of manual override the lever.

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panels 131NW 131PW.
(3) Close the FWD cargo access door 825.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
