A. Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are de-energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
4. Procedure(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
NOTE: Two persons are necessary for this procedure. One person must hold panel 22VU while the other connects the electrical connector.
Subtask 21-43-16-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Installation of the Forward Cargo-Compartment Temperature-Selector
(1) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4) Install the temperature selector (4). Put the locating stud (5) at the top, opposite to the black mark (6).
(5) Make sure that the locating stud (5) is in position in the hole on the shaft below the black mark (6).
(6) Install the washer (7) and the nut (8).
(7) Tighten the nut (8).
(8) Align the knob (9) with the flat surface of the shaft. Push the knob (9) until it is fully engaged.
(9) Tighten the two screws (10).
(10) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(11) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(12) Connect the electrical connector (3) to the temperature selector (4).
(13) Put panel 22VU (1) in position on its housing.
(14) Tighten the quarter-turn fasteners (2).

(5) Make sure that the locating stud (5) is in position in the hole on the shaft below the black mark (6).
(6) Install the washer (7) and the nut (8).
(7) Tighten the nut (8).
(8) Align the knob (9) with the flat surface of the shaft. Push the knob (9) until it is fully engaged.
(9) Tighten the two screws (10).
(10) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(11) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(12) Connect the electrical connector (3) to the temperature selector (4).
(13) Put panel 22VU (1) in position on its housing.
(14) Tighten the quarter-turn fasteners (2).
C. Do an operational test of the forward cargo-compartment heating-system (Ref. AMM TASK 21-43-00-710-002).
