C. Safety Precautions
(1) On the panel 30VU:
(a) Make sure that:
(2) On the HP ground connector put a warning notice in position to tell persons not to supply the ground air.
Subtask 21-43-00-010-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the panel 30VU:
(a) Make sure that:
- the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is in the off position (the ON legend is off) and,
- the ENG 1 BLEED and the ENG 2 BLEED pushbutton switches are in the off position (the OFF legend is on).
(2) On the HP ground connector put a warning notice in position to tell persons not to supply the ground air.
D. Get Access
(1) Open the FWD cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the FWD cargo-compartment door 825.
(3) Remove the access panels 131NW and 131PW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-001).
4. Procedure(1) Open the FWD cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the FWD cargo-compartment door 825.
(3) Remove the access panels 131NW and 131PW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-001).
Subtask 21-43-00-040-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Deactivation of the FWD Cargo-Compartment-Heating Trim-Air Valve
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Turn the manual lever (2) to the closed position.
(4) Insert the quick-release pin (4) in the locking hole (3) to safety the trim-air valve in the closed position.
5. Close-upWARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE COMPONENT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY
COOL TO PREVENT BURNS.
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the trim-air valve (5) and temporarily attach it to the aircraft structure. (2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Turn the manual lever (2) to the closed position.
(4) Insert the quick-release pin (4) in the locking hole (3) to safety the trim-air valve in the closed position.
NOTE: The quick-release pin is stored laterally in the body of the trim-air valve.

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

B. Close access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panels 131NW and 131PW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-001).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Close the FWD cargo door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(6) Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell the flight crew that the trim air valve is deactivated.
(7) Record the deactivation of the trim air valve in the aircraft technical log book.
Subtask 21-43-00-862-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panels 131NW and 131PW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-001).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Close the FWD cargo door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(6) Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell the flight crew that the trim air valve is deactivated.
(7) Record the deactivation of the trim air valve in the aircraft technical log book.
