C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position on the left side of the aircraft below the valve.
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position on the left side of the aircraft below the valve.
Subtask 21-26-52-020-050-A
A. Removal of the Avionics-Ventilation Skin Air-Inlet-Valve
(1) Remove the six screws (2) and the four screws (3) and then release the valve (4).
(2) Make a mark on the valve (4) at the location of the four screws (3). This helps you to install it correctly.
(4) Remove the valve (4) and discard the O-ring (5).
(5) Remove the sealant from the valve (4) and the structure (1).
(6) Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the remaining sealant from the mating surfaces.
(7) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(8) Put the PLUG - BLANKING on the air inlet.
(1) Remove the six screws (2) and the four screws (3) and then release the valve (4).
(2) Make a mark on the valve (4) at the location of the four screws (3). This helps you to install it correctly.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(3) Disconnect the electrical connector (6). (4) Remove the valve (4) and discard the O-ring (5).
(5) Remove the sealant from the valve (4) and the structure (1).
(6) Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the remaining sealant from the mating surfaces.
(7) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(8) Put the PLUG - BLANKING on the air inlet.
