WARNING: PUT ON GLOVES, A COVERALL WITH A HOOD, GOGGLES AND A PARTICULATE RESPIRATOR BEFORE YOU TOUCH THE FILTER. THE FILTER REMOVES SMALL PARTICLES (SMOKE, DUST, LINT, FIBERS, POLLEN) AND INFECTIOUS MATERIALS (BACTERIA, VIRUSES, MOLD SPORES, FUNGI) FROM THE AIR. THESE MATERIALS CAN CAUSE ILLNESS.
WARNING: DO NOT LET THE FILTER TOUCH YOUR SKIN. DO NOT SHAKE OR HIT THE FILTER. DO NOT LET THE FILTER FALL. DO NOT USE COMPRESSED AIR TO CLEAN THE FILTER OR FILTER HOUSING. THIS CAN CAUSE THE INFECTIOUS MATERIAL TO BECOME AIRBORNE. DISCARD THE FILTER IN A PLASTIC DISPOSAL BAG. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS, INFECTIOUS MATERIAL FROM THE FILTER CAN CAUSE ILLNESS.

   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below access door 824.
   (2) Open access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
4. Procedure
Subtask 21-26-43-020-067-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Siphon Assembly
   (1) Remove the twelve screws (2) and the washers (1).
   (2) Remove the siphon assembly (3) from the filter housing.
Subtask 21-26-43-160-064-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Cleaning of the Siphon Assembly
   (1) Clean the inner floor of the filter housing and the area around the siphon assembly (3) with Liquid Soap-- - - (Material No.08GAA1) . If necessary, use the non-foaming Aqueous Cleaner-Aircraft Exterior Pressure Spraying - (Material No.08ABC1) or Aqueous Cleaner-Immersion use - Alkaline base- - (Material No.08AKB1) in very dirty areas (use this material at room temperature).
NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the siphon assembly (3) if some water stays in it.
   (2) Make sure that the plastic check valve (4) is clear of debris:
     (a) If there is debris, turn the check valve (4) to put the bottom up and flush the siphon with the flow in the opposite direction.

C. Installation of the Siphon Assembly
   (1) Install the siphon assembly (3) on the filter housing.
   (2) Install the twelve washers (1) and the screws (2).
   (3) TORQUE the screws (2) to between 1.5 and 1.3 m.N (13.27 and 11.50 lbf.in ) T.
