3. Job Set-up
Subtask 21-26-42-860-062-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001) .
   (2) In the cockpit, on overhead panel 35VU:
     (a) Release these push-button switches BAT1 and BAT2(the OFF legends come on).
     (b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the batteries.
   (3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the avionics compartment doors 812 and 822.
   (4) Make sure that the access door 812 is open. (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
   (5) Make sure that the access door 822 is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-13-000-001).
   (6) Make sure that the access panel of AC/DC emergency power centre 106VU and BATTERY power centre 105VU are open.

4. Procedure

A. Installation of the Battery Ventilation Ducts
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
   (1) Installation of the hoses (2):
     (a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
     (b) Do a visual inspection and clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (c) Put the clamps (1) in position on the hoses (2).
     (d) Connect the hoses (2) to the batteries.
     (e) Tighten the clamps (1) to attach the hoses (2) to the batteries.
   (2) Installation of the hose (3):
     (a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
     (b) Do a visual inspection and clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (c) Put the clamps (5) in position on the hose (3).
     (d) Put the two clamps (9), the two screws (7) and the two washers (8) in position on the hose (3) to attach the hose (3) to the aircraft structure.
     (e) Connect the hose (3) between the hose (2) and the sleeve (6).
     (f) Tighten the clamps (5) that attach the hose (3) to the hose (2).
   (3) Installation of the hose (4):
     (a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
     (b) Do a visual inspection and clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (c) Put the clamps (5) and the clamp (10) in position on the hose (4).
     (d) Put the clamp (9), the screw (7) and the washer (8) in position on the hose (4) to attach the hose (4) to the aircraft structure.
     (e) Connect the hose (4) between the hose (2) and the sleeve (6).
     (f) Tighten the clamps (5) that attach the hose (4) to the hose (2).
   (4) Installation of the venturi (12):
     (a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
     (b) Do a visual inspection and clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (c) Use a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC to apply a thin layer sealant Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) .
     (d) Put the venturi (12) and the plate (14) on the structure and install the rivets (13) SRM 517211911002.
     (e) Clean the unwanted sealant with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with the Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) .
     (f) Install the sleeve (11) with the clamps (10) between the ventury (12) and the hose (4).
     (g) Tighten the clamps (10).
     (h) Tighten the clamps (5) that attach the hoses (3) and (4) to the sleeve (6).
     (i) Tighten the screws (7) that attach hoses (3) and (4) to the aircraft structure.
     (j) Paint skin external- surface SRM 517500.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

   (3) Close access door 812 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
   (4) Install the access door 822 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-13-400-001).
   (5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (6) Remove the access platform(s).ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE
