Subtask 21-26-42-860-061-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration.
   (1) Energize the ground service network . (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) In the cockpit, on overhead panel 35VU:
     (a) Release these pushbutton switches BAT1 and BAT2 (the OFF legends come on).
     (b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell the persons not to operate the batteries.

B. Get access to the avionics compartment.
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE
in position at the avionic compartment doors 812 and 822..
   (2) Open access door 812 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
   (3) Open the access panel of AC/DC emergency power centre 106VU and BATTERY power centre 105VU.
   (4) Remove the door 822 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-13-000-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 21-26-42-020-061-A
A. Removal of the Battery Ventilation Ducts.
   (1) Removal of the hoses (2):
     (a) Remove the clamps (1) from the batteries.
     (b) Remove the clamps (5) and remove the hoses (2).
     (c) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.

   (2) Removal of the hose (3):
     (a) Remove the two screws (7), the two washers (8) and the two clamps (9).
     (b) Remove the clamp (5) on the sleeve (6).
     (c) Remove the hose (3).
     (d) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.

   (3) Removal of the hose (4):
     (a) Remove the screw (7), the washer (8) and the clamp (9).
     (b) Remove the clamps (5) and (10) on the sleeves (11) and (6).
     (c) Remove the sleeve (6).
     (d) Remove the hose (4).
     (e) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.

   (4) Removal of the venturi (12):
     (a) Remove the clamps (10) and the sleeve (11).
     (b) Remove and discard the rivets (13) on the structure SRM 517211911001.
     (c) Remove the plate (14).
     (d) Use a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC to remove the sealant and clean the area.
     (e) Remove the venturi (12).
     (f) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.

B. Make sure that there is no electrolyte leakage in the ventilation duct.
NOTE: If there is an electrolyte leakage, remove the duct, clean it and rinse it with water.
