A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
CAUTION: USE ONLY THE GROUND SERVICE NETWORK TO SUPPLY ELECTRICITY BECAUSE THE AVIONICS VENTILATION SYSTEM IS NOT SERVICEABLE. IF YOU ENERGIZE THE AIRCRAFT ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS WITHOUT THE VENTILATION SYSTEM YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT.
   (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001)

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

C. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position below access door 824.
   (2) Make sure that access door 824 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
4. Procedure
Subtask 21-26-41-420-053-B
A. Installation of the Air Extraction Duct
   (1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
   (4) Make sure that the flexible sleeve (10) is in position on the fan (11).
   (5) Make sure that the arrow that shows the airflow points down.
   (6) Make sure that the flexible sleeves (3), (17) and (14) are in position on the ducts (1), (15) and (12).
   (7) Install the duct (18) in the flexible sleeve (10).
   (8) Make sure that the flexible sleeve (10) is in the correct position between the two red marks.
   (9) Install the clamps (9) that you removed during the removal procedure. Do not fully tighten them at this time.
   (10) Move the flexible sleeves (3), (17) and (14) on the duct (18).
   (11) Make sure that the flexible sleeves (3), (17) and (14) are in the correct position between the two red marks.
   (12) Install the clamps (2), (13) and (16) that you removed during the removal procedure and tighten them.
   (13) Tighten the clamps (9).
   (14) Install the new AIPC 21-26-01-16-030 ORING (6) or AIPC 21-26-81-16-030 ORING (6) on the union (5).
   (15) Install the union (5) on the duct (18) and tighten it.
   (16) Install the pipe (4) on the union (5).
   (17) Tighten the pipe (4).
   (18) If you removed the avionics compartment smoke-detector (7), install it (
Ref. AMM TASK 26-15-15-400-001).
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (19) Connect the electrical connector (8):
     (a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
     (b) Connect the electrical connector (8) on the avionics compartment smoke-detector (7).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Do an operational test of the ventilation system of the avionics equipment (Ref. AMM TASK 21-26-00-710-001).
NOTE: As an alternative procedure, you can do the operational test of the blower and extract fans (without the CFDS) (Ref. AMM TASK 21-26-51-710-001).

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).

B. De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
