WARNING: PUT ON GLOVES, A COVERALL WITH A HOOD, GOGGLES AND A PARTICULATE RESPIRATOR BEFORE YOU TOUCH THE FILTER. THE FILTER REMOVES SMALL PARTICLES (SMOKE, DUST, LINT, FIBERS, POLLEN) AND INFECTIOUS MATERIALS (BACTERIA, VIRUSES, MOLD SPORES, FUNGI) FROM THE AIR. THESE MATERIALS CAN CAUSE ILLNESS.
WARNING: DO NOT LET THE FILTER TOUCH YOUR SKIN. DO NOT SHAKE OR HIT THE FILTER. DO NOT LET THE FILTER FALL. DO NOT USE COMPRESSED AIR TO CLEAN THE FILTER OR FILTER HOUSING. THIS CAN CAUSE THE INFECTIOUS MATERIAL TO BECOME AIRBORNE. DISCARD THE FILTER IN A PLASTIC DISPOSAL BAG. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS, INFECTIOUS MATERIAL FROM THE FILTER CAN CAUSE ILLNESS.

A. Energize the ground service network

4. Procedure
Subtask 21-23-00-960-050-A
A. Replacement of the Lavatory Air-Extraction Filter
   (1) Get access to the applicable lavatory.
   (2) If the screws (3) are installed, remove them.
   (3) Remove the louver (2) and clean it with the BRUSH - BRISTLED, SOFT.
   (4) Remove and discard the fleece (4).
   (5) If the grill (5) is installed, remove and clean it with the BRUSH - BRISTLED, SOFT.
   (6) If the grill (5) is removed, put it in position in the housing (1).
   (7) Put the new fleece (4) (refer to IPC ATA 21-23-XX) in position in the housing (1).
   (8) Install the louver (2) in the correct position.
   (9) If the screws (3) are removed, install them.
