1. Reason for the Job
NOTE: This procedure gives the instructions to do a fluid sampling for an on-aircraft particle-contamination analysis with the Laser Particle Analyser (LPA2) tool. This tool will give immediate and accurate result of fluid particle content, to let A/C release.
NOTE: In case of contamination most appropriate procedure is the reclaim procedure. This procedure may require new fluid analysis results to be available before A/C release into service.

B. Contamination Analysis by LPA2
   (1) The number of particles contained in 100 cm3 (6.10 in.3) must not be more than:
  • The class 8 requirements of NSA 307110 specifications for an on-aircraft particle-contamination analysis with the LPA2.
   (2) In case of class 9 or higher with the LPA2, a second sampling by using the tool shall be performed.
   (3) If the contamination is confirmed complete reclaim procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 12-36-29-600-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 12-36-29-600-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 12-36-29-600-003).
   (4) Do another sampling with the LPA2:
  • If the result is not more than class 8, the A/C can be released.
