B. Cleaning
   (1) Mix a solution of 1 part of WATER - DISTILLED to 3-4 parts of Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) in a CONTAINER - CLEAN, APPLICABLE.
   (2) Clean the applicable drain tool and the CONTAINER-FUEL RESISTANT, TRANSPARENT PLASTIC with the solution.
NOTE: If you use a CONTAINER-CLEAN, STERILIZED, TRANSPARENT GLASS, cleaning of the CONTAINER-CLEAN, STERILIZED, TRANSPARENT GLASS with the solution is not necessary.
   (3) Make sure that the applicable drain tool and the CONTAINER-FUEL RESISTANT, TRANSPARENT PLASTIC are fully dry before you use them.
4. Procedure
Subtask 12-32-28-281-064-A
A. Sample Fuel for Hydraulic-Oil Contamination Analysis for Wing Tanks and Center Tank
   (1) Drain a sample from each fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 12-32-28-281-001). You must use a different sample container for each fuel tank.
NOTE: Use a sample container that is specified and that it is clean and dry before use. An incorrect, dirty sample container can give an unwanted effect to the results.
   (2) Put the sample(s) into a CONTAINER-CLEAN, STERILIZED, TRANSPARENT GLASS or CONTAINER-FUEL RESISTANT, TRANSPARENT PLASTIC and seal the container(s). AIRBUS recommends the container has a minimum capacity of 1 l (0 USgal).
   (3) Identify each sample with a label that shows:
  • The aircraft number
  • The time and the date of the sample
  • The source of the sample (which fuel tank and drain)
  • All additives that you know about.
   (4) Send the sealed sample(s) for an ASTM standard UOP389-15 test (Trace Metals in Oils by Wet Ash/ICP-AES) at an approved laboratory.
   (5) If contamination is found, you must tell AIRBUS about the results of the analysis to get support.
Subtask 12-32-28-281-065-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Sample Fuel for Hydraulic-Oil Contamination Analysis for Additional Center Tank (ACT)
   (1) Drain a sample from the ACT tank(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 12-32-28-281-005).
