LUBRICATION - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
3. Job Set-up
Subtask 12-22-32-941-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are installed on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
   (3) On panel 400VU:
     (a) Make sure that the landing-gear control-lever is in the DOWN position.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
   (4) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear doors.

B. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position adjacent to the applicable MLG.
   (2) Open the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (3) Install the safety devices on the MLG door actuating-cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).

C. Preparation for Lubrication
   (1) Make sure that the LUBRICATING EQUIPMENT is in the correct condition before you fill it.
   (2) Operate the LUBRICATING EQUIPMENT to make sure that the lines and adaptor are full of new lubricant.
   (3) Clean the two greasers of the MLG door actuating-cylinder (1) with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
4. Procedure
Subtask 12-22-32-640-062-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE POWER-OPERATED LUBRICATION EQUIPMENT AT MORE THAN 207 bars (3000 psi). HIGH LUBRICATION PRESSURE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
A. Lubrication of Main Landing Gear Door Actuating-Cylinder
NOTE: For lubricant grease specification and lubrication requirements, refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 12-22-00-00).
   (1) Lubricate the two greasers of the MLG door actuating-cylinder (1) with Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Low Temp - (Material No.03HBD9) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened - (Material No.03GBB1) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Lithium Thickened Low Temp. - (Material No.03GBC1) . Do this until new grease comes out.
NOTE: Signs of circular movement on the MLG door-actuator bearing-housing is permitted. If there are signs of lateral movement on the MLG door-actuator bearing-housing, you must replace it.
   (2) Remove the unwanted grease:
     (a) Clean the greasers with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
     (b) Make sure that the greaser ball is in the correct position.
5. Close-up
Subtask 12-22-32-410-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
Subtask 12-22-32-942-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Remove the SAFETY BARRIERS.
   (2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
