   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Extend the flaps fully (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
   (2) On panel 114VU, on the slat/flap control lever:
     (a) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is installed.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to operate the flap system.

   (2) Open main gear doors 734 and 744 (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).

Subtask 12-22-27-640-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Lubricate the Flap Track Carriage-Rollers
WARNING: WHEN YOU DO A MAINTENANCE TASK THAT USES A GREASE GUN, OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S SAFETY AND HEALTH RECOMMENDATIONS. GREASE GUNS USE HIGH PRESSURE IN OPERATION. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONNEL OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
  • DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
  • DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
  • MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (1) Clean the greasers of the flap track carriage-rollers with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (2) Use a GUN - GREASE filled with Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Lithium Thickened - (Material No.03GBD1) or Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Low Temp - (Material No.03HBD9) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Lithium Thickened Low Temp. - (Material No.03GBC1) to lubricate the flap track carriage-rollers. Lubricate all greasers until new grease comes out of the applicable roller.

NOTE: For lubricant grease specification and lubrication requirements, refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 12-22-00-00).

   (3) Remove the unwanted grease from the greasers and the flap track carriage-rollers with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (4) Make sure that the greaser ball has seated correctly after lubrication.

A. Lubricate the Flap Track Carriage-Rollers and No.1 Track Lever Arm
WARNING: WHEN YOU DO A MAINTENANCE TASK THAT USES A GREASE GUN, OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S SAFETY AND HEALTH RECOMMENDATIONS. GREASE GUNS USE HIGH PRESSURE IN OPERATION. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONNEL OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
  • DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
  • DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
  • MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (1) Make sure that the greaser ball of each greaser has sealed correctly after lubrication.
   (2) Clean the greasers of the flap track carriage-rollers with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (3) Use a GUN - GREASE filled with Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Lithium Thickened - (Material No.03GBD1) or Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Low Temp - (Material No.03HBD9) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Lithium Thickened Low Temp. - (Material No.03GBC1) to lubricate the flap track carriage-rollers. Lubricate all greasers until new grease comes out of the applicable roller.

NOTE: For lubricant grease specification and lubrication requirements, refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 12-22-00-00).

   (4) Remove the unwanted grease from around the greasers with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (5) Clean the greasers of the No.1 track lever arm with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (6) Use a GUN - GREASE filled with Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Lithium Thickened - (Material No.03GBD1) or Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Low Temp - (Material No.03HBD9) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Lithium Thickened Low Temp. - (Material No.03GBC1) to lubricate the No.1 track lever arm. Lubricate all greasers until new grease comes out of the lever arm pivot.

NOTE: For lubricant grease specification and lubrication requirements, refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 12-22-00-00).

   (7) Remove the unwanted grease from around the greasers of the No.1 track lever arm with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .

  • MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

   (6) Use a GUN - GREASE filled with Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Lithium Thickened - (Material No.03GBD1) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Lithium Thickened Low Temp. - (Material No.03GBC1) to lubricate the No.1 track lever arm. Lubricate all greasers until new grease comes out of the lever arm pivot.

   (7) Remove the unwanted grease from around the greasers of the No.1 track lever arm with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
