C. Get Access
CAUTION: PUT ALL ITEMS WHICH CAN HAVE INSECT INFESTATION AND CAN BE DAMAGED BY TEMPERATURES OF MORE THAN 60 DEG.C (140 DEG.F) IN SEALED PLASTIC BAGS. BEFORE THE THERMAL TREATMENT PROCEDURE STARTS, REMOVE THEM FROM THE AIRCRAFT FOR DISINSECTION. IF YOU DO NOT ISOLATE THESE ITEMS CORRECTLY, INSECTS CAN MOVE TO OTHER ITEMS AND INFESTATION WILL CONTINUE.
   (1) Remove the items that follow from the applicable cabin zone:
NOTE: Only equipment that is not sensitive to temperatures of more than 60 DEG.C (140 DEG.F) can stay in the aircraft. Refer to the supplier specification.
     (a) Remove all life vests from the aircraft.
NOTE: For life vests in vacuum-sealed plastic bags, no other procedure is necessary. For all other life vests, an individual inspection is necessary.
     (b) Remove the escape-slide pack-assembly at the passenger/crew doors, if installed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-802).
     (c) Remove the escape-slide raft pack-assembly at the passenger/crew doors, if installed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-012) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-804).

D. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Install temperature measuring equipment in the applicable cabin area to monitor the temperature and to find possible cold areas.
NOTE: Possible cold areas are the floor, the spaces between seat cushions and the inlet and exhaust of the EXTERNAL HEAT-DISTRIBUTION-SYSTEM.
NOTE: Procurement of the measurement equipment is under the responsibility of the operator.
   (2) Close all the passenger/crew doors but keep one door open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
