C. Get Access
(1) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons that the aircraft will be disinfected.
(2) Open passenger/crew door 831 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Open the forward and aft cargo-compartment doors (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
4. Procedure(1) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons that the aircraft will be disinfected.
(2) Open passenger/crew door 831 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Open the forward and aft cargo-compartment doors (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
WARNING:
DO NOT LET DISINFECTANTS GO ONTO FOODSTUFFS. DISINFECTANTS ARE POISONOUS. DO NOT SPRAY THEM DIRECTLY ONTO CARPETS OR COCKPIT INSTRUMENT PANELS. DISINFECTANTS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO FURNISHINGS AND EQUIPMENT.
Subtask 12-21-12-615-050-A A. Disinfect the Aircraft Equipment and Furnishings
(1) Clean the area from dirt and debris before disinfection.
(2) Disinfect the aircraft equipment and furnishings with the applicable disinfectant and disinfection method in the areas that follow:
(a) Sensitive items (for example, cockpit equipment, IFE equipment, switches, screens, handsets and other electronic devices):
a Clean the sensitive items with pre-impregnated wipes that are soaked with Disinfectant and cleaner-Aircraft interior - specific areas (Material No.11CAA2) .
b Clean and dry the sensitive items with WATER - WARM, CLEAN and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
2 If you use a disinfectant solution made of isopropyl alcohol and distilled water:
a Make a disinfectant solution with 70 percent of Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and 30 percent of distilled water.
b Make a clean, lint-free cloth moist with the disinfectant solution and use it to clean the sensitive items.
c Clean and dry the sensitive items with clean, warm water and the clean, lint-free cloth.
(b) Aircraft structure and regular furnishing surfaces (for example, armrests, seat belt locks, panels, door handles and other regular surfaces):
a Clean the aircraft structure and regular furnishing surfaces with pre-impregnated wipes that are soaked with Disinfectant-Aircraft General - - (Material No.11AAA2) , Disinfectant and cleaner-Aircraft interior - - (Material No.11CAA1) or Disinfectant and cleaner-Aircraft general - - (Material No.11CBA1) .
b Clean and dry the aircraft structure and regular furnishing surfaces with the clean, lint-free cloth or with clean, warm water and the clean, lint-free cloth.
2 If you use a disinfectant solution made of isopropyl alcohol and distilled water:
a Make a disinfectant solution with 70 percent of Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and 30 percent of distilled water.
b Make a clean, lint-free cloth moist with the disinfectant solution and use it to clean the aircraft structure and regular furnishing surfaces.
c Clean and dry the aircraft structure and regular furnishing surfaces with clean, warm water and the clean, lint-free cloth.
3 If you spray the disinfectant:
a Apply Disinfectant-Aircraft General - - (Material No.11AAA2) , Disinfectant and cleaner-Aircraft interior - - (Material No.11CAA1) or Disinfectant and cleaner-Aircraft general - - (Material No.11CBA1) to the aircraft structure and regular furnishing surfaces with the hand sprayer SPRAY - BOTTLE.
b Clean and dry the aircraft structure and regular furnishing surfaces with the clean, lint-free cloth or with clean, warm water and the clean, lint-free cloth.
(c) Sensitive furnishing surfaces (for example, transparent plastic surfaces, window panels, windows, mirrors and other sensitive surfaces):
a Clean the sensitive furnishing surfaces with pre-impregnated wipes that are soaked with Disinfectant-Aircraft General - - (Material No.11AAA2) , Disinfectant and cleaner-Aircraft interior - - (Material No.11CAA1) or Disinfectant and cleaner-Aircraft general - - (Material No.11CBA1) .
b Clean and dry the sensitive items with clean, warm water and the clean, lint-free cloth.
2 If you use a disinfectant solution made of isopropyl alcohol and distilled water:
a Make a disinfectant solution with 70 percent of Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and 30 percent of distilled water.
b Make a clean, lint-free cloth moist with the disinfectant solution and use it to clean the sensitive furnishing surfaces.
c Clean and dry the sensitive furnishing surfaces with clean, warm water and the clean, lint-free cloth.
3 If you spray the disinfectant:
a Apply Disinfectant-Aircraft General - - (Material No.11AAA2) , Disinfectant and cleaner-Aircraft interior - - (Material No.11CAA1) or Disinfectant and cleaner-Aircraft general - - (Material No.11CBA1) to the sensitive furnishing surfaces with the hand sprayer.
b Clean and dry the sensitive furnishing surfaces with the clean, lint-free cloth or with clean, warm water and the clean, lint-free cloth.
5. Close-up(1) Clean the area from dirt and debris before disinfection.
(2) Disinfect the aircraft equipment and furnishings with the applicable disinfectant and disinfection method in the areas that follow:
(a) Sensitive items (for example, cockpit equipment, IFE equipment, switches, screens, handsets and other electronic devices):
CAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY OR SPRAY CLEANING SOLUTION DIRECTLY ON THE COMPONENT. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENT.
1 If you use pre-impregnated wipes:a Clean the sensitive items with pre-impregnated wipes that are soaked with Disinfectant and cleaner-Aircraft interior - specific areas (Material No.11CAA2) .
b Clean and dry the sensitive items with WATER - WARM, CLEAN and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
2 If you use a disinfectant solution made of isopropyl alcohol and distilled water:
a Make a disinfectant solution with 70 percent of Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and 30 percent of distilled water.

NOTE: It is permitted to use pre-impregnated wipes that are soaked with approved disinfectants. If you use pre-impregnated wipes, it is not necessary to spray the disinfectant.
1 If you use pre-impregnated wipes:a Clean the aircraft structure and regular furnishing surfaces with pre-impregnated wipes that are soaked with Disinfectant-Aircraft General - - (Material No.11AAA2) , Disinfectant and cleaner-Aircraft interior - - (Material No.11CAA1) or Disinfectant and cleaner-Aircraft general - - (Material No.11CBA1) .
b Clean and dry the aircraft structure and regular furnishing surfaces with the clean, lint-free cloth or with clean, warm water and the clean, lint-free cloth.
2 If you use a disinfectant solution made of isopropyl alcohol and distilled water:
a Make a disinfectant solution with 70 percent of Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and 30 percent of distilled water.
b Make a clean, lint-free cloth moist with the disinfectant solution and use it to clean the aircraft structure and regular furnishing surfaces.
c Clean and dry the aircraft structure and regular furnishing surfaces with clean, warm water and the clean, lint-free cloth.
3 If you spray the disinfectant:
a Apply Disinfectant-Aircraft General - - (Material No.11AAA2) , Disinfectant and cleaner-Aircraft interior - - (Material No.11CAA1) or Disinfectant and cleaner-Aircraft general - - (Material No.11CBA1) to the aircraft structure and regular furnishing surfaces with the hand sprayer SPRAY - BOTTLE.
b Clean and dry the aircraft structure and regular furnishing surfaces with the clean, lint-free cloth or with clean, warm water and the clean, lint-free cloth.

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the forward and aft cargo-compartment doors (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-004).
(3) Close passenger/crew door 831 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
Subtask 12-21-12-862-052-A (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the forward and aft cargo-compartment doors (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-004).
(3) Close passenger/crew door 831 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
