1. General
The dorsal fin 321AL is made of layers of glassfiber reinforced plastic over a honeycomb core. It is installed at the leading edge of the vertical stabilizer to fuselage joint. The dorsal fin helps the directional stability of the aircraft. It also makes the air flow smoothly around the joint and keeps turbulance to a minimum. The removal of the dorsal fin gives access to the HF and VOR antenna connections.
