THRUST REVERSER - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
1. General
The thrust reverser assembly covers the engine core and gives the aerodynamic flow path duct for the engine fan airflow.
During aircraft landing phases, the thrust reverser is used to block and redirect the engine fan airflow in the forward direction to get a reverse thrust.
Each half thrust reverser cowl turns around the 12 o'clock hinges to give access to the engine core area during maintenance and services operations.
