1. General
The High Pressure Turbine (HPT) stage 2 nozzle assembly.

2. System Description
A. Stage 2 HPT Stator Nozzle
The stage 2 HPT stator nozzles are manufactured as single nozzles. There are 36 stage 2 HPT stator nozzles manufactured from nickel based alloy. Each nozzle has a thermal barrier coating applied.

B. HPT Stator Case
The HPT stator case is a life limited part. This is used to contain high-pressure high-temperature air.

3. Operation
The HPT stator case and stage 2 HPT stator nozzle comprise the stationary portion of the HPT consisting of the stage 1 and stage 2 HPT stator hangers, the stage 1 and stage 2 HPT stator shrouds and stage 2 HPT stator nozzles. The HPT stator case is used to contain high-pressure high-temperature air.
