STAGE 1 HIGH PRESSURE TURBINE (HPT) NOZZLE ASSEMBLY - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
1. General
The stage 1 High Pressure Turbine (HPT) nozzle assembly is located in the aft end of the combustor diffuser nozzle assembly (Ref. AMM D/O 72-41-00-00).
It consists of the following parts:
** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL The stage 1 High Pressure Turbine (HPT) nozzle assembly is located in the aft end of the combustor diffuser nozzle assembly (Ref. AMM D/O 72-41-00-00).
It consists of the following parts:
- Stage 1 HPT stator nozzle
- Front inner HPT nozzle support
- Outer HPT stationary seal.
2. System Description
The stage 1 HPT nozzle assembly contains 18 two-nozzle segments for a total of 36 stator nozzles. Each stator nozzle has a thermal barrier coating and contains holes for cooling. The nozzle segments are supported at the inner band by the front inner HPT nozzle support.
