TURBINE SECTION - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

1. General
The turbine section module provides rotational energy to the compressor section (Ref. AMM D/O 72-30-00-00).

F Turbine Section - Operation
The turbine section is aft of the combustion section (Ref. AMM D/O 72-40-00-00). The turbine section module includes:
  • The High Pressure Turbine (HPT) stage 1 nozzle assembly
  • The HPT rotor assembly
  • The HPT case and stage 2 nozzle assembly
  • The turbine center frame assembly
  • The Low Pressure Turbine (LPT) stage 1 nozzle module
  • The LPT shaft module
  • The turbine rear frame module.
