1. General
A. The major functions of the fan cowl door assemblies are as follows:
(1) To make an aerodynamic smooth surface over the engine fan section
(2) To supply a protective enclosure for components that are mounted on the engine
(3) To give protection against overpressure
(4) To supply doors and access panels for rapid servicing, inspecting and maintenance.
