The window provides viewing out of the aircraft, from outside the aircraft and enables the following to be seen:

2. Description
The window consists of a circular seal, inner and outer acrylic glass panes.
The components of the window are interchangeable.
A hole in the inner pane enables cabin pressure to be maintained in the window.
The window assembly is installed in a frame riveted to the outer skin of the door.
The window is held in position by a retainer bolted to the frame.
