2. Component Location
** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL 3. Description
A. Rear Fuselage Main Structure
The main structure (Ref. AMM D/O 53-41-00-00) is an assembly of skin plates, frames and stringers, which are riveted together to make the fuselage shell. The passenger compartment floor panels (Ref. AMM D/O 53-42-00-00) are fastened to top beams, seat tracks and cross beams. Support struts (Ref. AMM D/O 53-43-00-00) connect the cross beams to the frames. Door frames and braces make the fuselage structure stronger in the areas of the doors. Fittings (Ref. AMM D/O 53-46-00-00) are installed at the joints of the primary structural parts and components.

B. Cargo Compartments
Access to the AFT cargo compartment is through the AFT cargo-compartment door. The BULK cargo compartment is installed behind the AFT cargo compartment. Nets divide the two cargo compartments. Access to the BULK cargo compartment is through the AFT cargo compartment.

C. Dorsal Fin
The dorsal fin (Ref. AMM D/O 53-45-00-00) is a fairing, which is installed at the leading edge of the vertical stabilizer-to-fuselage joint. The fairing permits the airflow to flow smoothly around the joint, and keeps the air turbulence to a minimum.

D. Drains
Drain valves (Ref. AMM D/O 53-49-00-00) are installed in the bottom of the fuselage, at locations where it is possible for water and condensation to collect. Drain holes in the internal structure let the water and condensation flow to the drain valves.
