S. Item 10/Item 11: Spoiler status indication
(1) Case 1
The spoiler is represented out and green, when the spoiler status is transmitted correctly from the FCDC bus, the spoiler is extended and available, also from the FCDC bus.

(2) Case 2
The spoiler is represented in and green, when the spoiler status is transmitted correctly from the FCDC bus, the spoiler is retracted and available, also from the FCDC bus.

(3) Case 3
The spoiler is represented out and amber when the spoiler status is transmitted correctly from the FCDC bus, the spoiler is extended and faulty, as transmitted from the FCDC bus.

(4) Case 4
The spoiler is represented in and amber when the spoiler status is transmitted correctly from the FCDC bus, the spoiler is retracted and faulty, as transmitted from the FCDC bus.

(5) Case 5
The spoiler is replaced by amber XX when the spoiler status is transmitted as not valid from the FCDC bus, or the information is not transmitted correctly from the FCDC bus.

T. Item 13: L/G CTL Message

This message is displayed in amber,
  • when the gear lever selector is in the UP position as transmitted by the LGCIU1, or 2 and the nose gear, the main right gear, or the main left gear are not UP
  • or the gear lever selector is in the DOWN position as transmitted by the LGCIU1, or 2 and the nose gear, the main right gear, or the main left gear are not DOWN
U. Item 11/Item 12: Braking mode
(1) ALTN BRK message
The message is displayed in green when the alternate braking has been selected, provided that the green or the yellow hydraulic pressure is available, and there is no antiskid fault. Otherwise it is not displayed.

(a) Case 1
The message AUTO BRK is displayed in green steady when a DECEL rate is armed.
(b) Case 2
It is displayed in green flashing when the autobrake is OFF.
(c) Case 3
It is displayed in amber when there is an autobrake fault, or an antiskid fault.
(d) Case 4
It is not displayed in all the other cases or when these pieces of information are not correctly transmitted from the BSCU via the SDAC.
(3) Autobrake mode
armed.
(a) The MED message is displayed in green when the MED rate of DECEL has been armed.
(b) The LO message is displayed in green when the LOW rate of DECEL has been armed.
(c) Nothing is displayed when no rate of DECEL has been armed.
(4) ALTN BRK message

(6) Autobrake mode
armed.
(a) The MED message is displayed in green when the MED rate of DECEL has been armed.
(b) The LO message is displayed in green when the LOW rate of DECEL has been armed.
(c) Nothing is displayed when no rate of DECEL has been armed.

V. Item 12/Item 13: Hottest brake indication
(1) A green arc (case 1) is displayed on the hottest wheel when the related temperature is higher than 100°C and there is no overheat on the brake.
(2) The arc is displayed in amber (case 2) when there is an overheat.
(3) No arc is displayed when the temperature is lower than 100°C.
(4) The same arc is displayed in grey (case 3) when the related wheel is not the hottest wheel and in all other cases.

W. Item 13: L/G CTL Message
(see above)
X. Item 14: Hydraulic status
*** NEW MSG DISPLAY OPTION ACTIVATED ***
The hydraulic supply indications are displayed at the same time as the message N/W STEERING, or the message NORM BRK, or the message ALTN BRK
Y refer to the YELLOW hydraulic status, while G refer to the GREEN hydraulic status. The letter, normally displayed in green, is displayed in amber in case of low pressure. The hydraulic status is not displayed when not transmitted as valid by the SDAC.
Y. Item 15: Hottest Brake indication

Case 1
A green arc is displayed on the hottest wheel when the related temperature is higher than 100°C and there is no overheat on the brake.

Case 2
The arc is displayed in amber when there is an overheat.

Case 3
The same arc is displayed in grey when the related wheel is not the hottest wheel and in all other cases.

Z. Item 16: N/W STEERING message
Configuration 1: The Enhanced Message Display option and the New Message Display option are not activated.
Configuration 2: The Enhanced Message Display option is activated and the New Message Display option is not activated.
Configuration 3: The Enhanced Message Display option and the New Message Display option are activated.
(1) The N/W STEERING message
***Configurations 1 and 2***
This message, usually not shown, comes into view in amber when the fault of the nose wheel steering is confirmed and:
