STATIC DISCHARGERS - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
1. General
During the flight, the aircraft becomes charged with static electricity. If the discharge of static electricity is not controlled, it causes interferences in the communications and navigation systems.
Static dischargers are installed on the aircraft to decrease the interferences.

6. Operation/Control and Indicating
The static dischargers:
The static dischargers:
- Decrease the voltage level necessary to start the corona discharge
- Make very low radio-frequency field-strength in areas and thus cause a discharge in these areas.
- Discharge the static electricity charge.
